This Thursday is the final phase of the 137th Spring Canton Fair 2025, China's largest trade event. Fashion and handbag buyers won't want to miss it. The fair takes place in Guangzhou, Guangdong's capital, at the Pazhou International Convention Center in Haizhu District. Known as the "City of Commerce", Guangzhou was a major port during the Maritime Silk Road era.
If you're new here, getting lost is easy. If you've arrived early and discovered this guide through Google – congratulations! You've found your ultimate navigation toolkit for precise directions to the Canton Fair venue.
This section outlines travel options for buyers who have not yet booked flights to Guangzhou. If you plan to fly from Europe or elsewhere, we recommend searching for flights directly to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN), the city's main international airport.
If direct flights to Guangzhou are difficult to find or time is short, Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (SZX) is the nearest international alternative. From Shenzhen, you can take Metro Line 11 to Shenzhen North Station and then a high-speed train to Guangzhou South Station (approx. 1.5 hours total journey, fares from CNY 82). Alternatively, a hired car via the expressway to Guangzhou takes about 1.5 hours (around CNY 200 per person). Consider prioritizing direct flights to Shenzhen if available from your European departure city.
Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) is another strong option, known for its extensive international routes and frequent high-speed trains to Guangzhou South/East (30+ daily). The fastest route involves taking the Airport Express to Hong Kong West Kowloon Station, then a high-speed train to Guangzhou South (fastest 45 minutes, from CNY 215). Other transfer options from Hong Kong exist but are generally more complex.
Macau International Airport (MFM) is also nearby but typically involves more complicated transfers after landing.
Finally, transferring through major Chinese domestic hubs like Beijing, Shanghai, or Chengdu is another viable option, often offering conveniences like baggage through-check and streamlined security processes.
For buyers arriving at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, first take Metro Line 3 (towards Haibang), then transfer at Kecun Station to Line 8 (towards Wanshengwei), traveling three stops to exit at Xingang East Metro Station, Exit A. Please note that Line 3 is a split line; you might accidentally take the train towards Tiyu Xilu (Orange) first. If so, you need to alight at Tiyu Xilu Station and wait for the next Line 3 train towards Haibang to continue your journey on the correct route.
For buyers arriving by high-speed train at Guangzhou South Station, take Metro Line 2 (towards Jiahewanggang) within the station, then alight at Changgang Station to transfer to Line 8 (towards Wanshengwei), and after seven stops, also exit at Xingang East Metro Station, Exit A. These routes can be flexibly arranged based on your schedule, allowing you to alight earlier or later if you wish to find a suitable hotel nearby for luggage storage or rest.
